Born
in Melbourne, Australia, Catherine started her musical journey from
a young age. As a child, Catherine studied keyboard and classical
piano and later completed studies in music arrangement, live recording
and production at the Alfred Brash Sound House in the Melbourne
Concert Hall. She also has a Diploma in Film Music Composition from
The London School of Creative Studies.
Catherine
received her first music award as a teenager when she entered a
local original song competition. She has then gone on to win awards
at a national level (Philips Australia Song Competition) and at
an international level (Los Angeles Music Awards 2006, International
Online Music Awards 2007).
Her
blend of Celtic and world melodies with contemporary electronica
rhythms and atmospheric soundscapes has been featured in international
publications and radio ranging from New Age to Electronic to Pop
due to her music's crossover appeal.
She
is currently working on her second studio album.
