Welcome to Skidmark.org

www.skidmark.org was formed in March 2001 primarily as a site to help promote INDEPENDENT bands & solo artists of all genres in a personal & fun way – the site was published as a monthly edition with established monthly features such as:

●  A Featured Artist of the Month (FAOTM) section 

●  ‘Virtual Interviews’ performed with instant messenger services

●  Album Reviews – overviewing the latest indie-produced music to drop through the SkidMark letterbox

●  Competition – Giving away listed artist CDs & merch

As well as other features including artist-contributed editorials, guitar lessons, artwork, MP3 / video streams, and more! The site had been on auto-pilot with no new content added for the past few years, but this is about to change as the site is getting a complete rewrite  / revamp and will include new services such as 16 track mobile digital recording, music publishing on CD, Vinyl & cassette, album artwork & graphic design.

Due other commitments (including a business, my own music recording & performing efforts & family!), the rewrite has been a slow process, but I hope to have the new site live by early 2024.
